All of them act independently thanks to the technical conditions, which ensure a full technological cycle of production and due to their own power supply. Along with the optimum size of the production premises, the necessary equipped and modern warehouses for raw materials and products can be found in all the locations.

In the first production stages, the machines and equipment ensure technological tobacco processing in compliance with the most recent achievements in this sphere. Operations related to cleaning, mixing, drying, cutting, special processing, packing and flavouring of tobacco are carried out at a high professional level and with the maximum precision.

The modern production lines ensure better use of the raw materials as well as production of greater batches of high quality. Greater batches can be exported.The workshops for production and packaging of cigarettes are equipped with highly efficient machines or complex production lines, which perform over 10 thousand strokes per minute ( corresponding to 500 boxes of cigarettes per minute ), which ensure not only high efficiency, but high production quality as well.

The main activities and warehouses are mechanised.

The production capabilities of the systems have total productivity of 60 billion filter cigarettes per year, which are packed in boxes or soft packages of 20 pieces.

The type of tobacco blends, the nicotine and tar content is in compliance with the existing standards and regulations of health care services in the relevant countries.

Some of the cigarette plants, with the help and under the direction of the holding company, have made joint - venture companies for production of cigarettes on the territory of Eastern Europe in Russia, Ukraine and Romania. Currently 5 joint - venture companies of this kind are operational. Bulgarian holds 75 %. They produce cigarettes with Bulgarian trade marks, which are very popular in the relevant markets.

The Holding company has traditions of many years in licensed production of world-famous cigarette trade marks.The company policy has always been based on the co - operation with the main producers on the basis of mutual benefit.

One of the subsidiaries of Bulgartabac Holding Company carries out an extra activity: production of filters, printed matters and packing. The company is able to export each of the above products.

Research on the development of the Holding company is carried out by the Tobacco Institute. There are over 100 scientists and experts in genetics, selection, agrotechnics, plant protection and tobacco and tobacco smoke technology. The Tobacco Institute produces tobacco seeds, keeps variety of blends, develops the quality of cigarette blends, creates new blends, develop and implement efficient decisions, advises on the application of the systems for management and statistic control ( including implementation of new technologies for production of new or refined cigarette blends ), analyses tobacco, cigarettes and cigarette accessories, flavours etc. via issuing Compliance Protocols, trains specialists for tobacco production and tobacco processing.
